15mm Sci Fi - Ground Zero Games (GZG) Xenomorphs

Recently I added several packs of 15mm GZG Xenomorphs to my Alien horde.  I had no particular reason for doing so, other than a desire to paint things that Jon sculpts.

GZG Xenomorphs

These were quite simple to paint: Tamiya German Grey; drybrushed in Reaper Snow Shadow; washed with thinned Army Painter Dark Tone wash (applied a second time after the first coat dried).

Size comparison below.

Laserburn Imperial Trooper, GZG UNSC Light Infantry, GZG Tomorrow's War US Marine, GZG Xenomorph
Eack pack contains six models, two sculpts total.  These are not the dynamic Xenomorphs from Khurasan (from the Aliens movie), but are a tribute to the first film of that franchise, Alien.  It is the classic guy in a rubber suit.

The models are larger than man-size, just like the original alien.  The sculpting is nice with suitable details.  The only criticism is the lack of poses.  These figures are not designed to be used as an army (the units would get redundant in appearance quickly), but more for sci fi RPG games and perhaps small skirmish scenarios.  Personally I prefer the sculpts of Khurasan.  They are more dynamic and the Xeno range is huge.  These models would be good heroes or leader figures for that army though.

These guys will be used sparingly in Gruntz, Tomorrow's War and as Beasts in Alien Squad leader.
